Carnival cruise ship

You’ll never, never, never hear “Are we there yet?” aboard a Carnival cruise. Ask My Kitchen Rules’ Mick and Jodie-Anne. They had heaps of fun with Carnival, which didn’t surprise us at all! Carnival Cruise Line offers more than 45 ‘funbelievable’ onboard activities, ranging from Mini Golf, a jogging track, live entertainment and music and, not to mention the 16 bars and lounges to enjoy. There’s always a fun new activity, as well as the chance to wind down with Spa Carnival™ or in the adults-only Serenity Retreat™.

Going straight for the thrill, Mick took to the top deck to ride the famous Green Thunder, the steepest and fastest waterslide at sea – plummeting at up to 65 kilometres per hour! For kids and kids at heart, this waterslide is only part of the fun at Carnival WaterWorks™.

Less of a thrill-seeker? Take a dip without the whip in the ship’s many pools. Or follow Jodie-Anne’s example and take a more relaxed approach, spending time at the adults-only Serenity™ Retreat. This retreat offers spa treatments and ample space to lounge. Just add the gentle sea breeze - and maybe even a cocktail - and you’ll find your zen with ease.

Having fun all day makes you hungry and thirsty. With more than 10 restaurants and casual dining spots onboard, Mick and Jodie-Anne could have easily eaten at a new spot each night and found something new to try. They took a special liking to the tasty fish tacos served at Mexican BlueIguana Cantina and washed them down with cocktails from Alchemy Bar. They got so inspired by these refreshing bites and drinks that they recreated some of the recipes at home!

As the sun goes down, the night gets started for the young at heart. You can dance under the stars at a deck party or theme night, watch dancers and comedians perform on stage or sail under a lucky star in the casino. It’s even more fun with like-minded people who can become fast friends.

During the daytime, each stop into a new port is its own adventure when you’re roaming pristine beaches on horseback, swim or snorkel the crystal seas, explore local villages and cultures or shop ‘til you drop with family or your significant other. New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Singapore, Hawaii, Tasmania … it’s all within the possibilities.

Family underater during cruise

Just like Mick and Jodie-Anne did, everyone returning from their ‘funbelievable’ Carnival holiday at sea will find special ways to remember and re-live the happy memories from home - and that’s something you can ‘funbelieve’ to be true!
