Gold Coast markets

When in the Gold Coast, do as the locals do and head to one (or all) of the region’s huge range of markets. From farmer’s produce to emerging fashion, here’s where to get your fix of everything local.

The Village Markets

Hang with the hip crowd and get your fill of fashion from emerging designers, handcrafted furniture, unique artwork, live music and delicious food. You’ll find them on the first and third Sunday of the month at Burleigh Heads State School and on the fourth Sunday at Paradise Point Park.

Burleigh Heads Farmer’s Markets

Birkenstocks, active wear and a woven tote is the unofficial uniform of this trendy farmer’s markets held each Saturday morning at Burleigh Heads State School. Fill your bag with organic kale and heirloom carrots, then take a load off by a bale of hay and get stuck into a Kokonut Kid acai bowl.

Mount Tamborine Country Market

These markets are a stellar excuse for a leisurely day trip out into the Gold Coast Hinterland. Every second Sunday of the month at the Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds you’ll be able to load up on fresh produce, locally made cheeses, plants and herbs, flowers, arts and crafts.

Miami Marketta Street Food Market

Step across the threshold of this sprawling warehouse and you’re transported a thousand miles away from Gold Coast suburbia. A whiff of Barcelona’s backstreets from The Spanish’s giant paella and a taste of the Greek Islands from Levendis Souvlaki fills Miami Marketta. There's an extensive roster of global street food vendors all to the tune of live blues, jazz and roots music from local artists. And don't let us fail to mention the entire hall dedicated to dessert...!
